Michael Hirtzel, Producer/Director/Editor

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Michael runs his own production studio; Love42 Productions is based in Waxahachie, Texas. In addition to being a Director of Photography and Editor, he has a MA in History and is a History Professor and Curriculum Writer. Michael has traveled and filmed all over India, including a 4,000 mile railroad journey exploring the country through the lens of his cinema camera. He has a deep love and respect for India’s people and Indian Culture, and finds capturing these elements on film absolutely fascinating. 

In his educational work he has tirelessly promoted access to useable social studies knowledge for low income students in Dallas’ South Oak Cliff District. Michael is also very active in social causes involving the disabled, as his youngest child was born with a limb difference, and he himself suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis. He is raising two beautiful daughters with his wife, Ashleigh.

 

Reshma McClintock, Producer/Subject

Reshma is a wife, mother, and transracial adoptee from Calcutta, India. Three months after her birth, she was adopted and raised in Portland, Oregon. Reshma and her husband moved to Denver, Colorado in 2009 where they grew their family with the birth of their daughter, Rubina. In the Fall of 2017, the McClintock family relocated to Seattle, WA where Reshma primarily works from home as a writer and adoptee advocate.

Reshma advocates for adopted people around the world and is committed to elevating their community of voices through her work as Founder and Curator of Dear Adoption,. Dear Adoption, is one of the most well known and visited sites run by an adopted person; the site shares adoptee voices exclusively. Reshma is also passionate about preserving and supporting families; she recently Co-Founded Family Preservation 365. She is involved in a number of communities and organizations related to adoptee advocacy. Reshma travels and speaks all over the U.S.

 

Jeffrey Alexander, Director of Photography/Cinematographer

Jeffrey Alexander was born in Buffalo, New York, and currently lives wherever his camera and documentary work takes him.

After graduating college, Jeff joined the Army and served as a Combat Cameraman in both the Iraq and Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. When Jeff returned he worked at CBS Atlanta, then went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts at the University of North Texas.

Since that time, Jeff has been using his experience and degree to serve in various roles during the production of multiple reality tv shows and documentaries.

 

Sharie Vance, Sound Recordist

Sharie Vance is a Producer, Director, and Location Sound Recordist based in Dallas, Texas. She has a MFA in Documentary Film from UNT and teaches video and audio production full time at North Lake College. She has traveled extensively to international locations such as Cuba and Mexico (and Calcutta!) to film.

Sharie has completed several documentary films as a professional and as a student. She is a native Texan, mother of four, and grandmother of eight.
